At Wid Earth, we use a sociocratic model and circles for decision-making. All community members (younger and adult) are involved in all decisions that impact them. For more information on sociocracy, CLICK HERE.

Restorative practices guide us in our communication and conflict resolution. We do not use blame or punishment, but rather invite our young people to come into circle to express feelings, facts and perspectives with respect, to hear one another, and to determine if there is a win-win solution available. For more information on how we use restorative practices and language at Wild Earth, CLICK HERE.

We also incorporate aspects of Forest School at Wild Earth. Please refer to the Irish Forest School Association for more information.

Young people direct their own experiences and explorations at Wild Earth. For self-directed learning (SDL), Peter Gray and John Holt are leaders in research and documentation supporting SDL.
